Why not include Picton in your next Prince Edward County visit? It is a lovely town, with lots of things to see and do. The Glenora ferry can make the drive to Kingston a lot more pleasant. There is lots of wineries some of which have charging stations, why not charge as you enjoy a leisurely lunch. Nearby we find Sandbanks, Lake on the Mountain provincial parks that make for wonderful side-trips. All this within 216 km of Toronto, easily within reach of just about any EV.
There is plenty of charging along Hwy 401. The map below shows some of them. While my 2018 Leaf can make the journey non-stop, its a lot more pleasant to stop and charge along the way. Using my Tesla to J1772 adapter, why not stop at the Big apple, enjoy some food and charge up at the same time? Granted, last time I tried this the kids got hungry around Port Hope so we stopped by the On-Route for some refreshments, charging up at the Ivy station that’s there. That station actually has all three charging connectors (Chademo, CCS and Tesla), so no matter your EV, you can enjoy a charge.

There is plenty to see and do in “the-county” as some call Prince Edward County. There is a lively craft scene, several wineries and breweries to choose from. We enjoyed some ice-cream in town, followed by a visit to nearby Sandbanks Provincial park to explore the dunes found there. Yes, you can see huge sand-dunes in Ontario.
